2016: See us at....

Lewes Bonfire on Saturday 5th November

East Hoathly Bonfire Parade on Saturday 12th November

Remembrance Sunday (Poppy Day) at Burwash on 13th November

Oh dear, your webmaster had a senior moment and put on here that HSB were holding a quiz in November. Well, it's not actually until 1st April next year!!!

It is Warbleton Brass Band that have a quiz on 19th November. Click this link for full details.

Wow! The sun actually shone at the Heathfield French Market (Le Marché) this year on August Bank Holiday Monday and we had a great time. African drumming band Muso Bango joined us on the stage for a rendition of African Funk and a gathering of French cyclists jigged around after having their photograph taken in front of the stage. See some of our performance on YouTube, or watch the event in general.

Eastbourne Bandstand 2016

Oh, it really was windy on Eastbourne Bandstand this year but we thoroughly enjoyed dishing out a selection of upbeat music for the more hardy of Eastbourne's visitors.

Here's a video (yes, we know its faults) of 'Solid Gold Soul'.

A general compilation video is also on YouTube

2016, so far, in pictures.

Heathfield Silver Band is a friendly, lively, non-contesting brass band based in Heathfield (East Sussex). We were founded in 1888 and have continued serving the area since that date, except for a brief war-time break. The band plays at local events in and around Heathfield and often further afield. If you enjoy playing a wide range of music and like to have fun then come along!

We are a registered charity (no. 273068) and, although we generally earn a fee at engagements, we often perform to raise money for other charities. The players receive no payment.

We rehearse every Tuesday at our own bandroom in Alexandra Road, Heathfield, TN21 8EA, from 7.30-9.30 pm (with a tea break!). Our training band meets the same evening from 6.30-7.15 pm. For further information on our activities please contact the Band Secretary, Mallory Hansford, on 01435 862398.

The band is always seeking to increase its membership and we currently have vacancies in several sections. We welcome players of any age or ability and offer our training band to complete novices.
